YOLK uses location-related data to improve matching quality, safety, and region-appropriate feature behavior.
2. What We May Use
- Profile-declared location fields (for example, city or broad area).
- Device-level region/timezone and language signals for localization.
- Approximate location context when explicitly provided or permitted.
3. Why We Use It
- To improve recommendation relevance and pool quality.
- To reduce fraud, abuse, and suspicious account activity.
- To provide operational features such as local legal/compliance handling and product localization.
4. What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell location data.
- We do not use precise location for advertising profile resale.
- We do not expose your precise location to other users as a default.
5. Retention and Security
- Location-related data is retained only as long as needed for stated purposes and legal requirements.
- Access is restricted under least-privilege controls with monitoring and audit practices.
6. Your Controls
- You can review and update profile location fields in-app.
- You can restrict OS-level location permissions when applicable.
